John Fallon’s The Shelter with Michael Paré enters Post Production with Holbrook Multi-Media!

Hey all! We are finally entering post-production on my my directorial debut THE SHELTER this week and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s like they say; you make a movie 3 times: when you write it, when you shoot it and when you edit it. Writing it surprised me as to where it took me, shooting it took me aback as well and I can’t wait to see what Post Prod has in store for us! Full press release below!

The Shelter, starring Michael Paré (The Lincoln Lawyer, Streets of Fire), Gayle James, Rachel Whittle, Lauren Thomas, Brigette Rose and Amy Wickenheiser enters Post Production this week. The film was financed by Bruise Productions and JoBlo Movie Productions, and Holbrook Multi Media will be handling the Post duties.

Bobby Holbrook II acted as Director of Photography on the film and Fallon had this to say as to why he went back to Holbrook to finish the picture.

“Working with Holbrook Multi Media on The Shelter production was a pleasure. I never had this much fun on a set. They were resourceful, knowledgeable, relentless and brought with them an endearing positive energy. I connected with their stellar work ethic hence with that and the fact that they understood the type of picture we were making; I decided to go with them with Post Production. We start this week and I am beyond excited!”

Hence Bobby Holbrook II will continue on the movie as Chief Editor and Colorist, along with other Holbrook support staff.

“The Holbrook experience on the shoot of The Shelter was fun (said Bobby) , lots of fun and confirms our belief that; with a great story, outstanding director and experienced actors, all that’s left is the right equipment and a crew dedicated to not just doing their jobs, but to the film itself and amazing things can happen. It was a pleasure working with everyone involved during production and I am thrilled to continue this with John into post.”

John Fallon directed the film from his own screenplay, Donny Broussard (Little Houses) and Fallon produced the picture, Erin Bennett was the production manager while Shawn Knippelberg will be scoring the film and Thomas Wilson (James Wan’s THE CONJURING  and INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2) is handling the film’s VFX.

On a star filled night, widower and homeless man Thomas (Michael Paré) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a vast two story house with the lights on and an inviting open front door. He strolls on in thinking he just caught a lucky break and for a while, it would appear as though he did. But soon enough, he realizes that the house won’t let him leave, as its doors are all locked while its windows cannot be opened or broken. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place. What does it want from him? Will he survive the ordeal?

Once Post completed The Shelter will hit the Festival circuit and will be seeking worldwide distribution. The film will have a presence at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. You can follow the film’s progress on its Official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/thesheltermovie
