Am happy to report that I will be a guest at the inaugural of the Dark Fest festival in Kamloops, Canada. The fest is streamlined by Jason and Shawn, co-hosts of 92.5FM CFBX Kamloops’ review show Film Reviews from the Basement. I’ll be there to show some of my past work (The Red Hours and Deaden) and a preview of David Cholewa’s Dead Shadows (next film I star in). I will also do a QNA and I’ll be bringing some free schwag to give away. Looking forward to it! NOTE TO SELF: Kamloops looks like a great place to snowmobile… if I have the time, will try to squeeze in a swift run 🙂by
JoBlo.com is launching a new “animated short” series today and it’s called JOBLO’S ZEN. The cartoon focuses on the lives of JoBlo and The Arrow (yours truly) characters and the wacky situations they find themselves in. The series will come to life on JoBlo’s FunnyOrDie.com channel every 3/4 weeks or so. So if you dig them, please vote for us and share the episodes with your friends, family and pets.
JoBlo had this to say about the Pilot Episode: Our pilot episode below is more of an intro to the two characters in their familiar habitat (JoBlo’s den basement) but later episodes will feature more interaction with the boys, people around them, as well as plenty of adventures at Comic Con, strip joints, movie theaters and plenty of other funky places where mayhem can be interpreted.
Here’s the official byline of the show: “JoBlo and the Arrow are two dudes who enjoy smoking some good weed, drinking some good drinks, as well as watching movies and playing videogames. Basically, they’re your every day movie geek but with a Canadian twist and an extra helping of hot chicks.”by
I was recently interviewed by the action fan site THE ACTION ELITE, here’s a preview below, read the whole she-bang HERE
Can you tell us a bit about your “Dead Shadows” project?
DEAD SHADOWS is the brainchild of director David Cholewa and screenwriter Jules Vincent. I have a lead in it and am very excited about the role. The part is one that embraces my “typecast”: strong, tough, no bull, etc. You’ll get to see me kick lots of ass! It’s a terrific script; a mix of THE THING, DEMONS 2 and NIGHT OF THECOMET. It will also mark my first time acting in French from France… should be interesting. 🙂
Can you tell us what it was like working on 100 Feet with Famke Jansen and Michael Pare?
I was nervous working with Famke as she popped my cherry in the “acting a full scene with a star” department. But now it’s out of the way. I pulled through and am happy with my performance. Famke was very professional, she didn’t talk much in between takes…she was very focused, a ying to my sack of nerves yang. As for Mike Pare, we didn’t have any scenes together, but I enjoyed hanging with him on set, in lounges and learned from watching him work (he’s very talented).by
JoBlo.com mastermind Berge Garabedian has concocted a cartoon short with some input from yours truly (and I stress the word some, this is Berge’s brain-child, not mine). The short will focus on the adventures of JoBlo (Berge’s alter ego on JoBlo.com) and The Arrow (my alter ego on Arrowinthehead.com) and will somewhat be based on our real lives. I said “somewhat” 🙂 Peep a preview of a frame above and do keep in mind that I may wind up looking like a white guy in the final product as opposed to a Latino 🙂by

From September 23rd to September 30th, FANTASTIC FEST will unroll its big guns and let them rip and yours truly will be on hand to get caught in the crossfire. Yup, I’ll be in Austin, Texas to see as many movies as I can to review on my site Arrowinthehead.com (and even a couple of mainstream ones for our stepfather site JoBlo.com) and to act as a Member of the Jury in the horror category where I goddamn belong. Now although the FANTASTIC FEST line up is jam-packed (lots of films I’ve never heard of to be honest) and simply NUTS; here are the 10 films that I am looking forward to the most for varied reasons. Check it!
This year marks Arrow in the Head’s 10th year anniversary as the site ahs been online since early 2000. 10 f*cking years man… shit blogs didn’t even exist then… where did the time go? Personally, its been a trip, lots of ups, some downs, lots of perks, lots of new friends, some disappointments… lots of work… LOTS OF WORK… no you don’t get it… LOTS OF F*CKING WORK… but hey its all been worth it.
I wanna take the time to thank the AITH readers that keep coming back to the site for their daily shot of horror and ta-tas. We couldn’t do it without yall! And also big gracias to the Arrow in the Head crew for their fine work and for being cool ass mofos. I ran the site for 5 years by myself, but its when I started working with these crazy peeps that the fun really began. Happy B-Day Arrow in the Head!by
Hey all! Welcome to my Official Blog! Yup, I decided to get rid of my old OFFICIAL SITE and get with the fucking times already. For those of ya who don’t know who I am (lucky you) here’s a quick rundown:
My name is John Fallon. I love nature and all that is “real” (people included). At the same time; I am pursuing a career in the film industry which is the opposite of peace and “real” (people included). I like to think that I’m a cool cat, a nice guy…until you fuck me over that is.
Professionally; I run one of the more popular (or so my mom tells me) horror websites on the web called Arrow in the Head. I’m also an actor (I’ve been compared to Lorenzo Lamas…ALL GOOD…GREAT MAN!), screenwriter, producer and director. To put it simply: I’m just a dude who wants to make a living working within what he loves: movies. If I pull that off, the rest is gravy.
What do I do for fun? I work (yes, its fun to me), travel (lots), work out, play hockey, see hockey games live, write, hang with buds, do extreme sports, play video games and do some boxing. I’m of the “live life to the fullest” school, so I’m always looking for new things to try and new experiences to live. My religious inclinations? I just try to be a good person, that’s my religion…that and the ocean which moves me…yup…I’m more of a spiritual type.
So what can you expect from this BLOG? Well I’ll talk about the film projects I’m involved in of course, my experiences in the zany world that is the film industry, will perhaps share some personal shite about me now and again… maybe even go the Diary way if the amount of booze in my system is on the money… basically, I’ll do whatever I feel like doing when I do it. Don’t want to really “plan” this thing, I’ll go with the flow and see where it takes me.
So, in closing; welcome to my personal/professional Blog! I hope you enjoy reading my drivel.by
