The Proposal wins Best Action Film Award at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival!

We’re happy to announce that our retro action short film The Proposal has won the Best Action Film Award (shorts and features) at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival! Huge congrats to the cast and crew who busted their asses and a big thank you to the Festival for having us.

Now where does that leave the film? We’re open to play one or two more Festivals this year and then release the film physically (DVD or/and Blu-Ray). And there’s still talk of a feature length version as the short got us lots of interest from big players, but we’ll see where that leads. Lots of talk in this business.

The Proposal is Directed by Ben Whimpey, Produced by Antonio Raiola, Written by and Co Produced by yours truly, Edited by Elizna van der Walt while Juzzy Kane was the DP.  The Music is by Dmitri Golovko. It stars Marc Natoli and Kahli Williams, action star Paul Allica and actor/stuntman Lincoln Barros.

Synopsis: When gun for hire and all around tough customer Mason Stone (Marc Natoli) takes his long time girlfriend Emma (Kahli Williams) out on the town with the intent of popping the big question, he finds his proposal plans rudely interrupted by a group of highly skilled assassins who are after him. What’s a man to do in this kind of situation? Only one thing: kick butt.
